This album is a reissue (and extra cuts) of the NRBQ’s 1980 album, which was the beginning of the renaissance of the team of Terry Adams/keys-voc, Joey Spampinato/b0g-voc, Al Anderson/g-voc, Tom Ardolino and The Whole Wheat Horns of Donn Adams/tb and Keith Spring/ts. The al bum is very song oriented, including “me and the Boys”, which was later covered by Bonnie Raitt, and also some pretty pieces like “Never Take The Place of You. The album is very pop oriented, but there are still some hip blues as on “Don’t You Know” and some nice guitar work by Anderson on “ All Night Long”. A find worth re-discovering.
