Thick and palpable textures are produced by Markus Reuter, playing touch guitars and loops, teaming up with Tim Motzer on a wide variety of electronics and guitars with drummer/percussionist Kenny Grohowski. There are many overdubs by keyboards as well, resulting in thick prog rock sounds on “Bleed” and stark ambient atmospheres during “Externalities of the Truest Universality”.
Dark and liquid moods get eerie on “Oracle Chamber” and tapes of sounds fly in multiple directions during “Impenetrable”. Chaotic electronic guitars collide like asteroids on “Free in The Now” with hard hitting attacks in the alleys occurring on “Monolith”. Sounds reminiscent of late period King Crimson, but with a dash of Metallica as the prince.
