Trombonist Eric Goletz swings the standards with Jim Ridl/p, Henry Heinitsch/g, Steve Johns-Joe Mowatt/dr, Brian Glassman/b and guests Don Braden/sax and LuJuan Carter/voc. Goletz and Braden lock horns well on a bopping “Now’s The Time” and “Meyreh” with a clever mix of ensemble with strings on an exotic “Caravan”. Carter is mysterious and exotic on “Nature Boy” and poetic for “Windmills Of Your Mind”. Goletz himself is bold and brassy as he saunters on “Just In Time” and swings to the beat on “Train Shuffle”.
