Singer and harp man Derrick Procell rollicks with his band The Rays and guest guitarist Zac Harmon on this collection of blues rockers. The horn section of Andy Roman/ts-as, Nick Flood/bs-ts, Mike Middleton/tp and Frank Otero/tb sound like a Memphis Stew, while the team of Johnny McGhee/g, Richy Puga/dr, Dan Ferfuson/key and Bob Trenchard/b dig deep grooves. The team gives a Crescent City groove to the fun title tune, with Procell’s harp blowing out all the candles on the similarly spiced “Baby, I’m Lost” and boogalooing “Broken Promise”.
