Warm and concise post bop originals are delivered by the pianoless quartet of Rebecca Hennessy/tp, Petr Cancura/ts, Michael Herring/b and Richie Barshay/dr, all adding voices to the calypso’d title tune and cozy “Come Over to Our House”. The album has a kind of tribute feel, presenting the New Orleans spontaneous street m usic feel to “Chateau Gonflable” and the peppy “Lonely Hearts” . Hennessy has a sweet tone, serenading on “When You Say Goodnight To Me” and Cancura is warm and beefy on “I’m Here To Stay”, creating rich harmonies together as on “Play”. Easy on the ears.
