Bad Daddy: It’s a Mad Mad Bad Dad World

Get ready for a street wise ride by the team of Paul Waring/v-g, Pete Galanis/g, Elton Jaan/Hammond, Ari Seder/b and Jason Edwards on this rough and ready collection of blues rockers. There’s a kind of Allman Brothers meeting Chicago on most of the tracks, as on the thick “Blues At Home” with Waring’s raspy vocals, with the team shuffling to a boogie of “Left Me with the Bl ues”. A dash of Robin Trower is felt in Galanis’ strings on the thick intro to “The BlueS I Can Use” and the funky R&B swamp of “This Mother’s A Miracle”. Both strings and vocals snarl on “Trip On Your Love” and the South Sider “Just My Luck” with a bit of mellow in the stew for “ Where You Been So Long”. A breeze off of Lake Michigan from the south.
