Scottish pianist Fergus McCreadie takes you to on a hike through the UK with is team of Stephen Henderson and David Bowden for a collection of rich originals. The team shows its urgent side on the extroverted folk piece “Law Hill” while building up from a soft opening to a dramatic climax on “The Ridge”. Henderson’s brushes waft in the breeze for the graceful “The Unfurrowed Field” while creating an intricate pattern with his sticks during the interplay of “Landslide”. Bowden leads the way on the upbeat “White Water” with the leader guiding the tour through the greenery on the nocturne of “Glade”. No special boots required to see the panoramas and vistas.
