Beautiful moods are woven together by the strings of guitarist Sergo Pereira and a mix/match team that inccues Helio Alves/p, Mark Egan-Andre Vasconcellos-Paulo Paulelli, Emilio Martins/perc and Mauricio Zottarelli/dr.The melding of soft guitar tones and voices work seductively on the Brazilian “Samba de Outone” and percussive “Desffilando a Vitoria”. Soulful alto sax work by Ralph Moore adds some texture to “Quase 9” and Egan’s bass glides wondrously through “Finesse” and “Let It Out”. There’s even a fun reggae’d “Frio Luga” with folksy accordion, but the atmosphere mostly is a gentle breeze, best delivered in the concise trio setting of “Dreamsville” with the guitar tones oozing with joy. A real winner!
