This album states on the liner notes that “this music is about space”, meaning that mood and atmospheres predominate on this release by drummer Aaron Dolman and the pair of vocalists Sarah Rossy with Eugenie Jobin (who also plays a bit of vibes). There’s a lot of vocal “ooh” and “ah” going on with harmonies, as on the wind chimey “Together” and the delicate a fragile “The Mountain Sighs A Heavy Breath”. There are also eerie and haunting moments as Dolman trudges through “Two Boats and the Lighthouse Keeper” or the heavy vibed “Giving (with)” and noirish shadows during “The Fiddle And the Drum”. Some speaking is done as well on “Are You There To Help?” and the artsy “Borrow A Memory”. Is this music or water colors?
