Swedish pianist Max Agnas mixes reflective solo work with some modern musings with guests Salvador Sobral/voc and Nils Agnas/el-dr. On his own, he creates dark spaces on “Like The Sun Rises and The Fog Belts Away” while there is a classical touch to the crescendos of “A Lisbon Song”. Some New Age impressionism a la George Winston is heard on “Last Moment For A Moon” as well as on the Debusyyesque “Call Me Medieval”. Some prepared piano makes for tensile tones on a couple of the pieces, while Sobral’s nasally voice teams with computer effects and gentle sways on a handful of tunes. Quietude and reflections.
