Fun and funky sounds of the Crescent City mold are produced by guitarist Lee Heerspink and his cohorts of Jim ALfredson/org, Randy Marsh/dr, Dutcher Snedeker/key and Caleb Elzinga/ts. There’s a nice New Orleans groove with thick guitar and sax on the big easy of “Let It Simmer” with a funky rock beat simmering on “Stumble Bumble”. Marsh gives a military snap to the swampy “See You Soon” and there’s a Tower of Power punch to “Monster’s Impromptu”. Even more fun is the country mix of funk to “Preach It Gary” with the lights turned way down low. Faded blues jeans.
