Comfort-toned vocalist Jan Daley mixes traditional Christmas material with a few obscurities as she’s back with lush support of orchestra and harp. There’s a wonderment to her voice on”I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and “Grown-Up Christmas List” while she brings out the nostalgia in “ Winter Wonderland”. There’s a poppish version of “The Christmas Song” while “The First Noel” is filled with rich four part guitar work. A thoughtful obscurity is presented on “Can’t Give You Any Answers” while “The Best Gift” is a personal testimony. Music for the fireside.
