Andrew Boudreau plays piano and keyboards, Simon Willson is on the double bass and Vicente Hansen hits the drums on these eleven originals. The moods range from a acid rock headache of “Celebratory” to multiple imitations of The Bad Plus on the prismatic “Reptilian”, plodding “Seemingly OK” and angular “Scam Likely”. The team gets post boppy on “What’s Your Fee” and is thoughtful on “El Mono”, but the mix and interplay feel a bit more on the emphasis on attitude than execution.
