The team of Vicki Loveland/voc-perc and Ian Duren/dr-g lead a 70s rocking team of Adam Holton/b, Tim Horrigan/key and various guests through a collection of self-penned reflections of the current political situation. I always believe people swear when they run out of ideas, so I won’t comment on Duren’s coarse use half way through. Loveland gets a bit whiney and preachy (is it against Trump or Biden?) on “Funny Way of Showing It”, while the team gets soulful on “Skywriting (Tasmania)” and the churchy “Within Crying Distance”. Pieces of a puzzle without a unifying box top.
