Eric Blumer plays drums, percussion, guitars, keyboards and synths along with a rotating team of bassists (Lonnie Motley, Bob Songster, Todd Edmunds), horns (Elijah Samuels/sax, Jason Klobnak/tp) and even a mandolinist (Tyler Grant) on this home made collection of synth pulsed original groovemeisters. The cheerful electronic dominated pulses make you think that you’re taking part in a swinging Nintendo game with Klobnark’s trumpet on the fun and festive “Mood Fargo” as well as a electronically pulsed ATARI-tuned “Telluride” with tenor saxist Samuels blowing warm embers. Haus’s piano is boppingly full fisted and ballroom blitzing on the clever “Ode To Brubeck” and he rocks like a vintage Supertramp session on the artsy “It’s Time”. No song ever overstays its welcome, with the melodies catchy and lyrical and the solos fitting in like a corner piece on a jigsaw puzzle. Musical home movies to keep replaying.
