Here’s a gorgeous and sublime album by Aaron Bell, who plays a copious variety of guitars, including soprano, 6 string classical bass and guiro. He brings in one to two guests for most of the tunes, including Nestor Torres/fl, Paul McCandless/ob-ss, Jeff Marrs/dr, Chloe Scott Jones-Mary Fettig/fl, Robert Farrington/af and , Michael Spiro/perc to create a soft tapestry of tones. Delicate string droplets from two soprano guitars and beyond dance on “Toitoisho” and the pastoral “Resident Eject”. His acoustic bass guitar adds texture to “Regarding Raistin” and creates rich tones of indigo with Marrs’ pulse on “Blinking of Blue”. Aldana’s percussion charges with three guitars, guiro and upright bass leading the way on “Dover Preach” with three flutes sauntering to Germain’s strums on “Breathmarks”. Every song is a Givenchy garden of water lilies.
