The prog rock team of Billy Sheehan/b, Matt Bissonette/b, Greg Howe/g and producer-drummer Simon Phillips put together acoustic highlights of their previous two albums. The songs are categorized into “orchestral”, “acapella” and “Unplugged”. The former has Braveheart like sweeping moods on “Last Chance” and lovely climaxes on “Nightmare of My Dreams”. Rich voices are ethereal on “Another Year” and Greg Lake-like voices penetrate on “Slowly Melting” while “One Horizon” has an Old World feel. These guys make progressive rock sound nostalgic.
