The swamp is cleaned by Dexter Allen, who plays bass, guitar, keyboards, sings, and may even sweep the studio along with drummers Christopher Minter or Joey Robinson, with a one-off with some guests. Allen growls like a lion as he shuffles to the Hammond on “Love Talk” and testifies to the sleek bass line on “I Just Love That Woman”. His guitar sears through the horns on “F.A.B.U.L.I.S.T. Woman” and the team gets funkified and fried for “Sleeping In My Bed” and “I Like The Way”. Allen shows he can get romantic for the ballad “I Can’t Live Without You” and can get down with the blues stomper “My Cup Of Tea”. 6.3 on the Richter Scale.
