“Professor” Tim Aucoin plays bass and sings as he leads a team of John David/dr, Randy Hoexter/p-key, Trey Wright/g, Sam Skelton/sax and Karla Harris/voc through a collection of soulful originals. The team boogaloos like Tower of Power on the punchy title tune, with some hip tenor sax by Skelton and vocals by the leder on “I’ll Play My Song For You” and “Don’t Worry Mea”. Some gospel keyboards give a rich feel of “Happy Man” and the team takes a trip to the South Side of Chicago for a Muddy Waters-ish “Nursery School Blues.” The band gets a chance to jam, and they do it well with Skelton wailing away on “One, Two Three” and “Loose Change” with the team showing a more romantic tone on “Do It All Again”. Foot stomping joys.
