I WANT MORE…Foster Joseph: FOSTER (To Love)

I usually don’t review eps, but this vocalist Foster Joseph just knocked me out. He’s got a tenor voice that ranges from raconteur to suave seducer, and he’s teamed with a late 50s sounding Kinda Blue team of James Hurt/p, Gerald Cannon/b and the indefatigable Willie Jones III/dr. He’s classy with the piano being glassy on “Candy” and is gliding like the bass line on “September in the Rain”. His own “Now You’re Mine” is personal and intimate, while “Blue Christmas” has him teamed with Gannon like two guys playing racquetball. This guy needs to put out more tunes and GET HIM TO LA!!!
