Gorgeous and lyrical duets are delivered by vocalist Marty Elkins and Mike Richmond on bass and cello. They stick to standards, and sound rich, relaxed and resonant on pieces like “Old Devil Moon” and slinky title piece. Richmond’s bass is palpably thick as Elkins gets coy on clever “When The Red, Red Robin Comes Bob, Bob, Bobbin’ Along” and digs deep on “I Ain’t Go Nothin’ But The Blues”. Elkins’ range is wide, getting high on “My Mother’s Eyes” and sliding through “All Or Nothing At All”. Stylish.
