The duo Futari consists of Taiko Saito using mallets and a bows for vibes, and Satoko Fujii playing all parts of the piano on this 9 song collection of originals. Fujii gives some Satie-esque tones on the scrambling “Ame No Ato” and edgy on the serenade “Miube” . Saito does some amazing things with the vibes and bow, teaming with Fujii’s harpsichord strums on “Beyond” and ominous on “Proliferation” the tones hover in an eerie on “Molecular” and make space landings on lunar surfaces for “Spectrum”.
