Vocalist and songwriter Devin B. Thompson is a throwback to the days of Marvin Gaye and Donny Hathaway, delivering vintage soul sounds with a voice that inspires men and seduces women. With the voices in support, he gets churchy with the organ on “Something You Cn Do Today” while the horns stomp out the upbeat preaching on “Love To See You Smile” and “Tell Me.” Ford makes it funky on “Read Your Mind” and delves into the mellow tones on “I’m Gonna Cry A River”.
