Trombonist and composer Kasperi Sarikoski leads a working team of Simon Willson/b and Francesco Ciniglio through a collection of dark ruminations. Pianist Christian Li joins in for the most dramatic piece in “Onward and Upward”, otherwise you get dark brass ruminations on “The Opening” , soft tones on “Such Sweet Sorrow” and elliptical moods “Wide Lanes”.
