Here’s a blues-rockin’ band that is caught during a show in which no one left with a shirt that wasn’t dripping with sweat. Dry-rubbed guitarist and singer Barrett Anderson brings his team of Charlie Mallet/g-voc, Doug Macleod/dr, Jamie Hatch/b-voc and Emily Anderson/voc on stage for a sizzling foot stomping set of blues wailers. With Anderson, the gents give some nice harmony to the Bo Diddley burner “Mona” and create a Memphis Stew on “Broken Down”. The guitars slide into Chicago with Anderson snarling out “Emma Lee” and the blues-laden “Blind Faith” while moaning on the echoey “Grinnin’ In Your Face”. The rhythm team boogies hard on the shufflin’ “Good Man” and gives a 60s upbeat feel on the closing “House Party”. Who’s house did everyone head to afterwards?
