Soft and folksy pastoral moods are created by the wisp voiced Rebecca Hennessy, who also uses her trumpet playing to fill out the impressionistic album with Kevin Breit/g-mand-banj-org, tania Gill/p, Michael Herring/b and Dave Clark/dr. All contribute backing vocals, forming minstrel moods, with tasty guitar treats forming droplets on the title piece, and giving wide eyed optimism to the dreamy“Magnolia”. Her trumpet is used for sepia tones, teamed with narration on the melancholy “Nothing Passes For Favor”, while a blue New Orleans moon rises on “There’s One Thing”. Breit leads the team through a nice two stepper with his banjo on “Dr. Good” and Herring’s bowed bass supports the mist of Hennessy on “Eclipse”. Rich textures for a traveling troupe.
