Vocalist Al Basile teams with Bruce Bears/p-org, Brad Hallen/b and Mark Teixeira to tell a twelve song story of a “May-December romance that ends too soon”. Hallen’s thick electric bass is out front in the mix, with Basile giving street corner tales on “Don’t Toy With Me” and the funky “I Could Get Used TO This”. A honky tonkin “Second Wind” and late night reflective “The Problem Is Me” has Bears as a soulmate at the local bar, while Basile sings and gives takes a trip down noir alley with his horn on “Don’t” and the desultory “Time Heals Nothing”. Is Dana Andrews cast for the role of the film version?
