Angela Turone & Chris Platt: Sounds of Brazil

Timeless Brazilian breezes are delivered by the warm voice of pianist Angela Turone as she’s teamed up with the quite chords of Chris Platt’s guitar and a supporting team of Chase Sanborn/tp-fh, John Nicholson/ts-fl, Andrew Downing/cel, Pat Collins/, Robin Claxton/dr, Helio Cunha/perc and Gordon Sheard/synth. Turone blends her voice gloriously with Sanborn on the gentle read of “Desafinado”  and bounces with him on the peppy “Doralice”. Downing’s cello adds to the delicacy of “Bewitched” with Turone singing in English while “Pra Machucar Meu Coracao” take a rich stroll. Platt delivers a rich and intimate duet with Turone on “Lendas Brasileiras” and the team is peppy with extra percussion on “A Felicidade”. Quiet nights and quiet stars all aglow.
