Soft and ethereal moods are painted by bassist Robert Lee, joining together a team of Allison Au/sax, Trevor Giancola/g, Augustine Yates/p, Michael Davidson/vib, Jaob Wutzke/dr, Geoff Caridge/bcl/dl and splitting the bohemian and delicate vocals of Caity Gyorgy with Minjgia Chen throughout the album. Gyorgy’s wordless coos are pretty with Au’s alto sax on the misty title track, and ethereal as Lee and company clippety clop on “Eclipse”. The team gallops through a dynamic “Wild Wind” and Gyrogy is poetic with lyrics on the fragile “Sleepless”. Chen is reflective with Lee on the dainty “Cardinal On the Cobblestone” and bops with Davidson during “Burton’s Bounce”. Pastels of sound.
