Vintage 70s rock sounds that remind you of the glory days of The Doobie Brothers or roots bands like The Band is delivered by the team of vocalist Jeff McCarty, guitarists Jim Odom-Tony Haselden, keyboardists Rod Roddy-Nelson Blanchard, bassist Joey Decker, drummer Randy Carpenter, percussionist Mark Duthu and a handful of guests.
McCarty’s got a mix of pop and soul in his voice that works well on upbeat pieces such as “One Of These Days” and the Steve Miller bluesy “Don’t Rescue Me”. Hints of early Steely Dan are felt on the percussive “The Song Goes On” with the team boogie-ing to Roddy’s full fisted chords on the Crescent City delight “Lucy Anna”. The band shows how to jam as they stretch out on “Sauce Piquante” and they give a rich gospel feel to “No One’s Gonna Love Me (Like The Way You Do)”. A blue jean delight complete ripped knees that weren’t pre-bought.
