Vocalist Sass Jordan sounds like a female version of Steve Marriott as she wails through a set of bluesy tunes with a team of Chris Caddell/g, Jimmy Reid/g, Derrick Brady/b, Cassius Pereira/dr and guests Steve Marriner/harp, Jesse O’Brien/key and backup vocalist Hill Kourkoutis. She coughs and shouts out a rocking “Leaving Trunk” and boogies with the searing harp of Marriner on “My Babe”. The riff-filled “One Way Out” is a grooved delight with more licks than a Tootsie Roll pop, with some funky chunky pulsations provided by Reid on “Palace of the King” and sliding strings on “Too Much Alcohol” giving some rural dust to fly around. She is a Bunsen burner with Brady on “Still Got The Blues”. This lady has dirt under her nails.
