What could be more Jewish about Christmas than having seasonal songs performed and composed by members of The Messiah’s tribe? Guitarist Peter Curtis takes a dozen Christmas tunes and gives dreidel spins to them in acoustic and electric guitar. His nylon work on Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” and Mel Torme’s “The Christmas Song” is lovely, with cool electric playing on “The Most Wonderful Time Of the Year” and the fun “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” pure stocking stuffers. He gives a humorous take on the holiday on the title track, completing the entire six pointed star celebration.
