This 4 song ep by the band Snack Cat is a soulful treat with the vocals split between Chantal Mitvalsky and Pete Ayers and backed by Aleksi Glick/g, David Engelhard/as, Seth Weaver/tb, Jeff Koch/b and Nathan Ellman-Bell/dr along with some guest keyboards.
Mitvalsky has a lovely voice, gliding over the bass line of the clean and hip “Leaving LA” and grooving over the strutting guitar of “Path.” Ayers gives an indie feel to the riffing guitars and big cluttered horn sound of “Let Go” and is rich on the thick “Old Soul.” Fresh feelings.
