The trio of guitarist Juanma Trujillo, drummer Dayeon Seok and sax/bass clarinetist Hery Paz create thick atmospheres and long shadows on their seven originals. Trujillo’s guitar uses effects and pedals akin to Bill Frisell, using his strings to form drapery and textures. Teaming with Paz’s tenor sax, droplets on the post bop “Caracter” are palpable, while fuzz tones give indie moods on the strumming “PG.” Guitar twaning and effects create a fuzzy haze on “Prairie” and Seok stutters with Paz’s puffing and squawks on “Bosque Verde” while a bass clarinet ruminates on the gaze of “Clean.” Abstract thick fan brush strokes.
