A rich mix of hues from the Nashville skyline dominate this album by Beth Bombara. She has a rich voice, and pens the material with Kit Hamon, with the pieces evoking sonic images of vintage Byrds or the Flying Burrito Brothers. Some Farfisa organ gives a New Wave Feel to “Criminal Tongue” and the some thick keyboards rock the blues on “Good News.” Other than that, a steady C&W vibe is felt on “Tenderhearted” and the thick “Upside Down” while the title track is an upbeat feel to a reflective message. Piano and voice give an intimate parlor atmosphere to the closing “All Good Things.” Cumberland Gap in the 21st Century.
