Mister Goodfaith: Big Mistake

By day a medical doctor, and living an alter ego life as a bluesy musician, Fabien Bonnefoy (“Mister Goodfaith”) delivers a bluesy rocker of an album that’s a good prescription for fans of the Strat. His voice has a rich bedside manner, with bluesy pieces such as “Let Me Believer” and the steady paced “The Road.” He knows how to keep things upbeat for the chunky chords of “Castaway” but can deliver a dark and fuzzy mood for “Wild Horse.” Vintage 70s rock is in abundance for moods like the title track, with much of the material sounding like vintage Free. This guy’s made a good diagnosis of what makes a tight little band for the jumping juke joints.
