Art Garfunkel’s long awaited autobiography is quite an eclectic affair. It has enough background info and insight to his days with friend and partner Paul Simon, but he intersperses it with a collection of free-form poetry, juxtaposing it with notes that seem to come from a diary or personal journal. The result is a deeply personal collection of notes, vignettes and almost subconscious collection of ideas regarding his lifelong journey as a man, artist and poet. If you’re looking for dirt to be dug, it won’t be found here, but personal nuggets in the recesses of one’s mind are diamonds in the rough waiting to be uncovered.
