Rob Kevlin has a classic warm Broadway-styled voice. He stays away from “standard” fare, using the pen of Mick Walsh for a number of tunes as well as some clever covers. Of the former, Kevlin is upbeat and inviting for “Don’t Surrender” and the optimistic “It’s A New Day” and wide eyed on “Touch the Moon.” Most fun is a fun take of Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” while he carries a glowing torch on “Reason to Believe.” Winning ways!
