A “Jelly Roll Morton Medley” has some rich two stepping on “King Porter Stomp” highlighted by Hennesy’s plungered trumpet, working even deeper on the bluesy title track and vaudevillian “You Know a Song.” The team creates a festive Second Line on “Boll Weevil” and has fun with the horns weaving in and out on “Airport to Knowhere.” Cancura is sweet on “Fearless and Kind” and elegant during “Inchworm.” More than mere nostalgia.
