The vocal team of Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdely Savigne create rich and exciting Afro Cuban sounds on this highly percussive and energic album. The supporting team of Anthony Szczachor-Frank Martinez/dr, Roberto Riveron/b, Bill King-Danae Olano-Jeremy Ledbretter-Miguel de Armas/p and various horn and guitar players add rich textures to not only the vocals, but Rodriguez’s rich violin and Savigne’s relentless percussion. Violin and voices gallop to the title track with the instrumental “Quick Stop” have the two mixing strings and percussion like adding seasonings to a rich sauce. Rich voices plead in unison or in solo format as on the passionate “Desnudando El Alma” or the English choral “Last Day” along with Alexis Bario’s glowing trumpet. A jazzy “Mas Que Nada” mixes piano, percussion and earthy voices while the ladies lilt to Riveron’s electric bass on the pulsating “Laberinto.” This albums sparkles like a gold tooth.
