Eclectic guitarist Samo Salamon leads an intuitive trio with Tony Malaby/ts-ss and Roberto Dani/dr through a collection of originals. With Malaby’s soprano , the team gets a bit mystical on the Monument Valley mooded “Breathing” and they play peek-a-boo on “Too Much.” Dani is loose on the fluid “Dephony” and the team features Malaby’s soft tenor on the alluring “Grey Matter.” Salamon himself is boppy on the 5/4 pulsating of “Moving Target” and adds some ominous textures to “Kei’s Dream.” Intuitive musical musings.
