Vocalist Lynn Veronneau teams with a core group of Ken Avis/g, David Rosenblatt/g and Bruno Luci/dr along with a collection of guests for a mix of laid back originals and covers. She’s got a relaxed and easy delivered voice and teams it up well with Avis’ acoustic guitar on the Latin “Song of Love” and soft title track. She throws in a bit of exotica as she purrs in French along with droplets of guitar musins on “La Javanaise,” and delves into Spanish along with sleek percussion on “Perfidia.” John Previti’s bass provides rich drapery on a bluesy take of “Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most” while a Brazilian lilt has Veronneau blowing a desert breeze on “The Road.” Casual and classy.
