Sounds and rhythms form East and West intersect like an 6 way roundabout on this album with Enayet Hossain/tab, Hidayat Khan/sit, Joy Islam/g, Gre Hatza/key, Fred Koch/sax, Qamar Abass/cajon and Avirodh Sharma/perc. The songs meld traditions from the US as on the mix of American folk guitar, jazzy piano and sitar on “Jazzy Street of Mumbai” while tablas team with the Cumberland Gap on “The Chase.” Koch’s breathy tenor drones along on “Adolescence while the keyboards get a bit funky on “Starry Gaze” and the percussion gets into a discussion during “Memory Lane.” Flavors and sounds like a street market abound.
