Rock steady beats are delivered by leader Glenn Morrow as he sings and plays guitar with a barroom band of Ric Sherman/g-voc, Mike Rosenberg/b-voc and Ron Metz/dr along with guest Andy Burton/key for eleven originals. Morrow’s voice gives a hint of John Sebastian on the juke jointy “Bleeker and Third” while a dash of Warren Zevon comes up on the 70’s feeling “The Days to Come.” The band is tight and able to dig into a bluesy mood as on the clever “Keira Knightly” and hints of 80s New Wave have snappy riffs during “When Night Falls.” The two guitars work well on the mid tempos “Pony Express” and catchy “Third Act” and Burton’s organ grinds well on “Comfort Zone.” Rough and Ready.
