The team of Adam Meszaros/g-perc, Erno Hock/b-perc an Andras Halmos/dr-perc claim to be a “Hungarian Power Trio” which was not found defined in Wikipedia. However, the team does do some head banging on the metallic “Mongrel Mangrove” and “My Heart is Somewhere Else” as well as the title track, but they don’t limit themselves to power riffs. They do some wonderful moody percussive grooves with kalimba on “Socotra” and”Keltner” and the mix of guitar and percussion on the jamming “Jimma Blue” is a treat. Kjetil Moster brings sax and Balint Bolcso adds electronics to the dreamy “Partir” serving as a rich oasis between Metallica tributes.
