I’m usually not a big ep fan, but his four song collection is just filled with quirky charms. Dom La Nena sings, plays the cello and composes material. She sings in Spanish, Portuguese and French here, and teams with some friends for a mix of indie and upbeat bohemia. Her wispy voice teams up with a bowed cello on “Scenic World,” with vivacious pizzicato strings take you to the Left Bank on “Felicidade.” Silk drapes flow on the ¾ minstrel themed “Gracias A La Vida” and the folksy ballad “Les Vieux” is an intimate closer. This album is as cozy as a night by the fireplace. Is she coming to So Cal soon?
