An organ trio of Greeks deliver a full plate of comfort food for consumption. The three chefs, Evgenia Karlafti/B3-key-voc, Nestor Dimopoulos/g and Vagelis Ktozabasis/dr deliver sounds as thick as tsadziki sauce and sweet as galactoburiko on toe tapping pieces like the crisp “Movin’” and driving title track. Besides oozing sounds from the Hammond, Karlafti adds her husky voice to a number of tracks, like the soft as dolmades “Somehow,” the romantic as a night in Thessalonika “In A Summer’s Day” and the funky and chunky like lokoumi “The Theme.” As fun as a late night in a taverna, mixing the blues with music that will get you more jarred than chugging down a demi-tass of Greek coffee.
