Yoser Rodriguez plays bass, acoustic guitar and even sings with a core team of Jeremy Ledbetter/p-key-perc and Luis Orbegoso/perc and a rotating guest list of vocals, percussion, strings, keyboards and horns. He possesses a warm and honey’d voice in his native tongue of Spanish, and keeps the sounds varied as strings mix with swing on “El Sueno” and some classical guitar sounds sashay with piano and percussion on “Muchacha.” Extra voices are added with some African percussion on the title track which brings out some folk flavors, while “Raro Mirar” has some funky and sleek bass and keyboards. A bit of reggae gets the neck loose on “ Te Le Escapas A Los Anos” and the rhythm team bounces with acoustic guitar and warm voice on “Mi Libertad.” Unassumingly alluring.
