Here’s a band that takes you back to the laid back blues/country/rock sound of 70s Eric Clapton or Delaney and Bonnie. The Brothers Brown Band (gotta put my dentures back in after saying that one) consists of brothers Paul/g-voc, Brother Paul/key-voc along with David Santos/b and Pete Young/dr. The team has a laid back feel with a lilt as on “Can’t Outrun The Blues” and a C&W faded blue jeans of an earthy “Cup Of Tea.” Brother Paul’s B3 oozes on the chick a-booming “When All Is Said and Done” and hints of The Band pop up on pieces like the gently rollicking “The River” and “Sweet Cadillac.” The vocals are late night mellow; did they tour with the Eagles or James Taylor?
