Guitarist, violinist, keyboardist and composer, Beledo teams up with a core team of Lincoln Goins/b and Gary Husband/dr along with a wide palate of guests on this exciting set. He shows his hard rock roots on “Mechanism” and delivers on the funk factor during “ Mercury In Retrograde.” Some exotic percussion from Endang Ramdan and Cucu Kurnia help deliver an enticing “Lucila” while extra guitars from Dewa Budjana” and more percussion delivers a wallop on “Budjanaji.” For the most part, it’s power trio time, and mid tempos like “Big Brother Calling” and the hard driving “Bye Bye Blues” make for red meat if you’re an axe grinder.
